Dawson’s Prepaid Funeral Plan provides peace of mind & makes good financial sense. Entering a prepaid funeral contract means that you pay today’s prices for a funeral service that may not take place for a number of years, therefore you avoid inflation. In addition the funds you invest in your funeral are not subject to the income and assets test. This may be advantageous in minimising your taxation & maximising your personal entitlements.
Prepaying your funeral involves meeting or talking to one of our prepaid staff to record your personal details & funeral preferences. We will ask you a range of questions so that we can gather information legally required by the Registrar of Births, Deaths & marriages, which we record and hold confidentially. We will then discuss the various funeral options available to you and your preferences will be costed & itemised in legally binding contract.
The money yo pay for your funeral is placed in a Funeral Fund, in your name with Norwich Union Friendly Society. Like a life assurance policy, these are only payable upon your death and Dawson’s is legally committed to carry out the funeral as itemised in the contract.
